Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Miguel Alves, an individual based in Hortolândia, SP, Brazil, operating Argo under the trade name Taurus Technology ("Argo", "we", "us"), governing your access to and use of Argo. By creating an account, you expressly and unambiguously agree to be bound by these Terms — simply browsing our public marketing pages does not, by itself, create an agreement between us. If you don't agree, don't create an account or otherwise use Argo.
We may assign, transfer, or delegate our rights and obligations under these Terms at any time, in whole or in part, without needing your prior consent — in particular if we incorporate a company to operate Argo going forward, undergo a corporate restructuring, or are acquired by or merged into another entity. If that happens, the "Contact us" section below will be updated to reflect whoever the agreement is with at the time.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an Argo account or use the service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that this is true, and you remain solely responsible for the accuracy of that statement. We reserve the right to verify your age at any time and to close any account we learn belongs to someone under 18 — see the Privacy Policy's Children's privacy section for how we handle it when we do. If someone under 18 circumvents this restriction to create an account or make a purchase, their parent or legal guardian is jointly responsible for any resulting obligation or charge.
Your account
- Your password is personal and non-transferable. You're responsible for keeping it confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- We aren't liable for unauthorized purchases, data exposure, or any other harm resulting from you sharing your password, reusing it elsewhere, or falling for phishing outside of Argo itself.
- You must provide accurate information when you register, and keep your email address current — it's how we reach you for account-critical notices (verification, password reset, billing). Any notice we send to the email address on your account is considered delivered and read by you, whether or not you actually check it.
- You can delete your account at any time from account settings; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that does and when it becomes irreversible. Deleting your account does not erase data we're legally required to keep regardless — for example, connection logs under Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet, or payment records for tax and consumer-defense purposes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Argo for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data that isn't yours.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limiting, authentication, or any other security feature.
- Use automated means (scraping, bulk account creation, etc.) to access Argo outside of the product's normal, intended use.
- Upload or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful through the AI copilot or any other part of the product.
- Ask the AI copilot for itineraries, routes, or guidance intended to facilitate an illegal purpose — including sex tourism, undocumented border crossing, or trafficking of any kind.
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit Argo without our prior written consent.
If you use automated means in violation of this section, you're liable to reimburse us for the resulting infrastructure and AI-provider costs, in addition to any other remedy available to us. Under Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet, we will provide connection logs to law enforcement when compelled by a valid court order.
The AI copilot is also subject to a Fair Use Policy: to keep the service stable for everyone, we may temporarily throttle accounts whose request volume is disproportionate to normal use or unreasonably burdensome to our infrastructure, even where that use is technically manual rather than automated.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section immediately, without advance notice and without a refund of any unused paid balance — a violation of this section is a breach of contract attributable solely to you.
The AI copilot
- The copilot answers using the trip data you've entered and general knowledge from its underlying AI model — it does not have live, authoritative access to visa rules, airline policies, or real-time availability unless you've entered that information yourself.
- When you ask the copilot to change your trip (add an itinerary item, open a budget category, log a flight, etc.), it writes that change directly into your trip data, the same as if you'd done it by hand. Review what it wrote if you want to double-check it.
- Don't send passwords, passport numbers, credit card numbers, or other sensitive personal data to the copilot in your prompts — see the Privacy Policy for why, and for what data leaves our systems when you use it.
- AI credits are consumed as you use the copilot — your current balance is always visible in the chat panel. Credits are tied to your account, not a single trip: they're shared across every trip you own or collaborate on, and never expire. See Trip tiers, credits & billing for how you get credits and how refunds work.
- We may adjust, improve, restrict, or discontinue the AI copilot feature at our discretion, including switching the underlying AI provider, without that affecting the rest of Argo.
Trip tiers, credits & billing
- Argo's core features are free, forever, per account. Two paid tiers exist, each a one-time purchase for a single trip, never a recurring subscription: Plus unlocks places, weather, flights, ground transport, and accommodations; Premium additionally unlocks budget categories, expenses, and currency conversion. See current pricing on the pricing section of our homepage.
- A tier you purchase for a trip unlocks it permanently — it does not expire and does not need to be renewed.
- Upgrading an already-Plus trip to Premium charges only the price difference between the two tiers, in the same currency as your original Plus purchase — never the full Premium price again.
- Plus and Premium each include a one-time bonus of AI credits, added to your account (not just the trip) when you purchase them. You can also buy AI credit packs separately, at any time, independent of any trip's tier.
- All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Prices are shown in USD, BRL, and EUR; you pay in whichever currency your checkout is set to. By paying through Stripe, you're also subject to Stripe's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for that transaction.
- Refunds: a trip-tier purchase is fully refundable within 14 days of payment, no questions asked — you get 100% of the price back and the trip reverts to its prior tier, unconditionally. The bonus AI credits that purchase granted are revoked from your account only up to however many of them are still unspent — because credits are pooled across every trip you use the copilot on, you never lose credits you've already used, from that purchase or any other. A credit pack refund works the same way: it's refundable within 14 days for its unused portion, prorated to what's still in your balance if you've already spent some of what it granted. After 14 days, we still consider a refund for a proven service malfunction — contact [email protected]. None of this limits any statutory refund/cancellation right you have under the consumer-protection law of your country (for example, Brazil's Código de Defesa do Consumidor).
- Chargebacks: if you dispute a charge directly with your card issuer without first attempting to resolve it with us — through the refund process above or by emailing [email protected] — we may suspend or ban your account immediately, and we will contest the dispute by providing Stripe and your card issuer with your access records, usage history, and acceptance of these Terms.
Trip sharing & collaborators
- You can invite others to a trip as an editor (can modify the trip) or viewer (read-only). You're responsible for who you invite and what access level you give them, and you're jointly responsible with them for their violations of these Terms committed through your trip — if a collaborator misuses the AI copilot (for example, to scrape or generate illicit content) on a trip you own, we may suspend or terminate your account for it, in addition to theirs.
- You can also generate a read-only share link for a trip, optionally hiding costs or bookings from whoever you send it to. Generating a link is an assumed risk: it creates a URL that works for anyone who has it. If it leaks or gets forwarded beyond who you intended, we're not responsible for the resulting exposure of the trip's contents — that risk is yours from the moment you create the link.
- If you own a trip and delete your account, the trip and every collaborator's access to it is deleted along with your account once the 30-day recovery window passes — including for collaborators who did not ask for that. Once that window passes, the deletion is technically irreversible. If you plan to delete your account and want to preserve a shared trip for others, export or hand off ownership of it first.
Intellectual property
- Argo — the product, its design, code, and branding — belongs to Miguel Alves, who operates it under the trade name Taurus Technology. These Terms don't grant you any rights to it beyond using the product as intended.
- You keep ownership of the trip content you create yourself (destinations, notes, manually-entered itinerary items). The AI copilot's generated content — itineraries, suggestions, and other text it writes into your trip — is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning only; you may not resell, republish, or otherwise commercially exploit it, including printing AI-generated itineraries to sell as a travel agency's own work product.
- You grant us the limited right to store, process, transmit, and display your trip content back to you (and to anyone you've shared it with) solely to provide the service — including on servers and infrastructure located outside Brazil, which is necessary for Argo to function and to use the international APIs it depends on.
Termination
You can stop using Argo and delete your account at any time.
If you violate these Terms — including the Acceptable use section above — we may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without advance notice and without a refund of any unused paid balance; we're not obligated to give you time to export your data first when the reason for termination is your own conduct.
If we end the service for any other reason — a decision on our part to discontinue Argo, or as required by law — we'll give you reasonable advance notice and a chance to export your data first where reasonably possible, and refund the unused portion of anything you've paid for on a prorated basis.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Argo is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular travel outcome (a booking, a price, an itinerary) will turn out the way the app suggests.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Miguel Alves — operating Argo under the trade name Taurus Technology, together with the infrastructure and service providers Argo depends on — will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, whether material (such as costs, fees, or fines) or non-material (such as reputational or moral damages), or for any loss of data, profits, or travel-related costs arising from your use of Argo. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited (for example, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or where mandatory consumer-protection law says otherwise).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and reimburse Miguel Alves for any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees, court costs, and any judgment) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of Argo — including where a third party brings a claim against us because of something you did through the platform. Brazilian consumer law doesn't let us bring you into that same lawsuit to defend ourselves (Art. 88, Código de Defesa do Consumidor); this clause is what lets us recover from you afterward, through a separate reimbursement action, what your conduct cost us.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For any dispute that doesn't involve a consumer relationship (for example, a claim against another business for copying Argo), the courts of the Comarca (judicial district) of Hortolândia, State of São Paulo, Brazil, have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, applicable law also gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of your own domicile instead.
Before going to a small-claims or consumer court, please try to resolve the issue with us first by emailing [email protected] — most problems get fixed faster that way than through litigation.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For a substantial change — one that affects your rights, pricing, or how we handle your data — we'll notify you by email and/or an in-product notice at least 15 days before it takes effect. A cosmetic change (wording, formatting, a fixed typo) can take effect immediately.
If you don't agree with a substantial change, you can close your account before it takes effect; if you have a valid, unexpired paid balance at that point, we'll refund its unused portion on a prorated basis. Continuing to use Argo after a substantial change takes effect means you accept it — for a sufficiently major change, we reserve the right to require you to actively re-accept the updated Terms (for example, at your next login) instead of relying on continued use alone.
